The Conference Centre is designed with two wings connected by the central Refectory or dining room. Eight variously-sized seminar rooms, as well as a large hall, provide a range of conference facilities for seminars, training sessions, workshops and meetings. The facilities are equipped with screens and multimedia projectors, whiteboards, flipcharts, OHP and TV/video devices. All equipment charges are built into the delegate rates.
1. The Schiller Hall
The Schiller Hall is in an attractive position opposite the Abbey Church in the west wing of the building. The Schiller Hall has seating for 150 people and is also spacious enough for small exhibitions and trade fairs. Facilities include a large wall-mounted screen, projection, lighting and sound systems, including two lapel microphones and a roving microphone. Lighting can be controlled for maximum clarity of presentations. All settings are controlled from the lectern which has a display screen. You will also have access to flipcharts with pads and pens, or an interactive flipchart for instant display onto the screen. Comfortable seating for up to 150 people in theatre style and 80 in cabaret style.
2. The AV Room
Adjacent to The Schiller Hall, The AV Room also has a built-in audio-visual system, providing stereo amplification and a lapel microphone. There are wall-mounted pin boards around the room for display purposes as well as a flipchart with pad and pens. There are blackout blinds installed if needed. The AV Room will seat up to 50 in theatre style and 35-40 in cabaret style.
3. St Lukes Suite
The newest of our venues, the suite comprises of two rooms which can be opened up to be used as one large room, or individually to create an exclusive boardroom setting. The suite contains a built-in computer with LCD/HDMI screen and is also equipped with a projector. Set up as a boardroom, the suite can accommodate 12 people in a boardroom setting. Set up as one large room, we can comfortably seat 60 in theatre style and 45 in cabaret.
4. Dart View Rooms
We have six seminar rooms available, the majority will seat 35 people in various layouts depending on your requirements. The rooms are well lit, have comfortable seating and in a peaceful location overlooking the Abbey gardens and River Dart. Each room is well equipped with wall-mounted screen, multi-media projector, flipchart and whiteboard. There are pin boards around the walls which you can use for display purposes. The rooms have blackout blinds if needed.

Informal Style – Chairs placed in a circle or semi-circles
Theatre Style – Chairs placed in rows
Boardroom Style – Chairs placed outside a u-shape of tables or one long table
Cabaret Style – Chairs placed at individual tables each seating 4 – 6 people
